Photo Update // Vol. 3

Last Thursday, I picked up my camera for the first time in a couple of months. What I love about picking it back up...its like I never put it down. Last October, I purchased my first DSLR camera which was a Canon T3i. It was an incredible camera but after about two months, I was ready to pass it along to someone else who wanted their first DSLR. I know that sounds crazy but I had learned all that I needed to with this camera and I just felt ready to move on.
Sean used to have a photography business and he used a big bad Canon 5D Mark II which scared the mess out of me. It was way more complex than my first camera but after selling my T3i, Sean decided to stop shooting for a while and he gave me his 5D.
Perfect husband and perfect timing because I sure didn't have over $1K to go drop on a camera.
But it was definitely a learning curve. This camera has more manual settings which is frustrating at first but after you learn all the settings and the style that you like to shoot, its an amazing camera!
Anywho, I didn't get much on Thursday because we went out pretty late and the lighting was starting to get droopy.
Oh and it was free sweet tea day at McAlister's which always calls for a photo.
On Saturday, I went with my family to our local Farmer's Market. I just love this atmosphere. There is bluegrass playing, wind blowing in from the river plus more fresh flowers and veggies around than you can dream of.
After the Farmer's Market, we went to the local Jerry's Sno Cones. This place is famous in our hometown yet I have always disliked it. But on Saturday, I finally had a sno cone that was delicious.
Try the mango yall
On the back of their building they have this area where everyone writes down a bucket list wish. Pretty neat if you ask me :)
I cant wait to get out and shoot more this weekend. If you have any tips, send them my way!
I am becoming friends with Photoshop this weekend....so don't hate me if I am cranky on Monday ;)

  17. Gorgeous photos! I have been in the market for a nice camera for awhile... for someone who just currently uses their iPhone, but wants to get a nice investment camera for when I have kids someday, would you recommend the Canon T3i? Or would you suggest the big daddy of cameras?!
