Inspiration.

As always, happy Thursday to you :)

If you are anything like me, you love some music about Jesus. There is no music that can make you feel as loved, positive, relaxed as Christian music. I started heavily listening to it about four years ago and now it is what I listen to 99% of the time. I highly encourage you to check out these bands and listen to these songs because it is so fulfilling and will make any good Thursday, a great Thursday.

Here are a few of my favorites I wanted to share with you today!

Do something- Matthew West
When I first heard this song, I wasn't crazy about it....until I realized the message of it. It was a slap in the face to myself that is for sure. So many times we ask God why do things happen in life. Why is there sex trafficking to young children, why are there people starving all over the world, why is there so much negativity in the world and the list could go on and on. We just wonder why God does nothing about it. Truth is, that's what He made us for right?! We are the ones to do something. What else is our purpose on earth than to live as Christ and go into the world sharing His good news? This song is brilliant in my opinion.

I woke up this morning
Saw a world full of trouble now
Thought, how'd we ever get so far down
How's it ever gonna turn around
So I turned my eyes to Heaven
I thought, “God, why don't You do something?”
Well, I just couldn't bear the thought of
People living in poverty
Children sold into slavery
The thought disgusted me
So, I shook my fist at Heaven
Said, “God, why don't You do something?”
He said, “I did, I created you”
If not us, then who
 If not me and you
Right now, it's time for us to do something
If not now, then when
Will we see an end
To all this pain
It's not enough to do nothing
It's time for us to do something
I'm so tired of talking
About how we are God's hands and feet
But it's easier to say than to be
Live like angels of apathy who tell ourselves
It's alright, “somebody else will do something”
Well, I don't know about you
But I'm sick and tired of life with no desire
I don't want a flame, I want a fire
I wanna be the one who stands up and says, “I'm gonna do something”
We are the salt of the earth
We are a city on a hill
But we're never gonna change the world
By standing still
No we won't stand still
No we won't stand still
No we won't stand still

Come however you are- City Harbor
So beautiful. Some hold this standard as if they have to be perfect before gaining a relationship with Christ. I know I have been there. This song is a reminder to come just how you are, no matter how big or small your sins are. Because guess what....we are all sinners no matter what. It is always so important to keep in mind that Christ loves when we come to Him. He absolutely loves it. If we didn't go to Christ, where would we go to find a love as pure and strong as His?

To anyone walking down a hard road
Worn out with blisters on your feet
To anyone with a heart that's shattered
Doing your best to hold it together
With no prayer to pray and no song left to sing
Whatever pain you're dealing with
Let me offer this
Come however you are
Come with all your heart breaks
Come with all the mistakes you've made
Lay them down at the cross
Give them to the God who loves you
Hurt, scared, falling apart
Come however you are
To the girl who never had a father
To the guy who thinks he'll never amount to much of anything
To those of us who feel unwanted, unneeded, unloved, and desperately incomplete
Come however you are
Come with all your heart breaks
Come with all the mistakes you've made
Lay them down at the cross
Give them to the God who loves you
Hurt, scared, falling apart
Come however you are
Come with your regrets
Come with the things you can't change
Come with all your fears
With all your shame with everything
Come with the pieces of your bruised and broken heart
Don't wait
Don't wait
Whatever pain you're dealing with
Let me offer this
Come however you are
Come with all your heart breaks
Come with all the mistakes you've made
Lay them down at the cross
Give them to the God who loves you
Hurt, scared, falling apart
Come however you are

God with us- MercyMe.
This band wows me every single time I hear them. There is so much honesty in this man's voice and I feel like he delivers a perfect message every time he opens his mouth. This song is a wonderful reminder that we are free in ways we never should be. Because of His grace, our chains have been released. There is no stronger love that that.

Who are we that You would be mindful of us
What do You see that’s worth looking are way
We are free in ways that we never should be
Sweet release from the grip of the chains
Like hinges straining from the weight my heart no longer can keep from singing
All that is within me cries for You alone be glorified Emmanuel God with us
My heart sings a brand new song
The debt is paid these chains are gone Emmanuel God with us
Lord You know our hearts don’t deserve Your glory
Still You show a love we cannot afford like
Hinges straining from the weights my heart no longer can keep from singing
All that is within me cries for You alone to be glorified Emmanuel God with us
My heart sings a brand new song
The debt is paid these chains are gone Emmanuel God with us
Such a tiny offering compared to Calvary nevertheless we lay it down at your feet
All that is within me cries for You alone to be glorified Emmanuel God with us
My heart sings a brand new song

The debt is paid these chains are gone Emmanuel God with us

Find You on my knees- Kari Jobe
This girl is seriously my biggest inspiration. Her music has been my go to for I don't know how long now. She is such a good speaker and she truly lives 110% for Christ. She is starting a tour in a couple of weeks and the day I found out she was coming to my hometown, I did one ugly happy dance. I am SO ready to sing my heart out with this girl!

Troubles chasing me again,
Breaking down my best defense,
I'm looking, God, I'm looking for you
Weary just won't let me rest and fear is filling up my head.
I'm longing, God I'm longing for you
But I will find you in the place I'm in, find you when I'm at my end,
Find you when there's nothing left of me to offer you except for brokenness.
You lift me up, you'll never leave me thirsty,
When I am weak, when I am lost and searching
I'll find you on my knees.
So what if sorrow shakes my faith,
What if heartache still remains,
I'll trust you, my god I'll trust you.
'Cause You are faithful and
I will find you in the place I'm in, find you when I'm at my end,
Find you when there's nothing left of me to offer you except for brokenness.
You lift me up, you'll never leave me thirsty,
When I am weak, when I am lost and searching
I'll find you on my knees, my knees.
When my hope is gone, when the fear is strong
When the pain is real, when it's hard to heal
When my faith is shaken and my heart is broken and my joy is stolen, God I know that
You lift me up, you'll never leave me searching,
Find you in the place I'm in, find you when I'm at my end,
Find you when there's nothing left of me to offer you except for brokenness.
You lift me up, you'll never leave me thirsty,
When I am weak, when I am lost and searching
I'll find you on my knees.
